Steps to get started
How do you get started?
Answer: Use the link provided in the website to create an account with Kareo/Tebra
Complete the pre-appointment survey scales, demographic information, consent, intake history, document pharmacy of choice in the portal prior to visit, list of medications if any, medical history, psychiatric history. All completed forms must be received 72 hours prior to appointment to enable the chart to be ready if not the appointment will not hold. Upload your government issued ID card, valid credit card front and back and then book an initial assessment appointment virtually.
Communications
Answer: All communication should only be done through secure messaging in the portal because this allows for adequate protection of client’s information. It is expected that patient will be granted access to the portal once they book appointment.
Expectation during the first visit?
Answer: Sign in not later than 5 minutes to appointment time. Be sure to test your video, and microphone ahead. Also, photo ID card is required at every encounter physically, even though it was uploaded to be uploaded prior.
What happens during the visit?
Answer: We are expected to complete the visit, develop the plan of care collaboratively and you will receive a copy of the summary of the encounter as soon as the visit note is submitted.
Am I able to get medication prescribed during the first visit?
Answer: After in-depth assessment and collaborative agreement and depending on the outcome of the assessment, medication may be prescribed to pharmacy of choice. It is your responsibility to ensure that the pharmacy of your choice is correct in the portal.
Patients with mental disorder requires monthly visits for medication management, medical patients will have refills up to the third month but if there is any episodic problem they can make appointment to be seen which require a follow up fee.
What if I have a question to ask?
Answer: You will have an unlimited access to consultation through secure messaging in the portal whereby you can send your question electronically, and the provider will respond within 48 hours.
How does rescheduling and cancellation work?
Answer:
A. Before 48 hours of an appointment time:
You can reschedule your appointment by logging into your portal and clicking the reschedule button.
OR
You can request a cancellation by messaging the practice through the portal.
Note that there is $20 charge if the support staff reschedules you.
B. Within 48 hours of an appointment:
Cancellation within 48 hours of the appointment, meets our no refunds policy.
However, you can reschedule by yourself or email us to reschedule you but an additional consultation will be charged at 50 % of the original initial consultation fee.
What if I have an emergency and need to see the provider?
Answer: If you have an emergency please call 911, or go to the nearest emergency room. If it is not life threatening, then you can schedule appointment to be seen if it is something that cannot be resolved through consultation by messaging online.
Do I need to maintain a regular doctor?
Answer: The practice encourages clients to have a primary doctor if you are being seen for mental health. The PCP will monitor your response to treatment in addition to doing bloodwork and EKG if and when needed
Do I require office visit?
Answer: Office visit will depend on the type of treatment you are getting, and if required, you will be notified ahead of time, and we will collaboratively schedule it with you at the time that is convenient for you.
How do I get my medical records?
Answer: Medical record request requires a signature, you need to sign a medical release form and fax it to 301 666 2330. Allow 7 business days for the support staff to get everything ready and fax it to you. In accordance with HIPPA, such forms can only be sent via fax or by encrypted email. There is an administrative fee of $100 for medical record preparation and $50 for letters attesting diagnosis.
What happens if one is late or miss an appointment?
Answer: After 10 minutes of the provider waiting, the appointment has to be rescheduled and marked no show and, in this case, there will be no refund.
What if I have questions that are not clinical?
Answer: Administrative questions get sent to the practice through secure messaging in the portal. Allow 48 hours to 96 hours for the support staff to get back to you.
What medical services do you provide?
Answer: We do offer medical services, and treat patients with all kinds of medical problems, as well as primary care, and we are board certified to treat acute, and chronic medical problems.
What other mental health ailments do you treat?
Answer: We are also board certified to treat all mental ailments including:

Do you offer therapy?
Answer: At the moment, we do not offer therapy, but you will get a template of non-pharmacological coping measures if your diagnosis is ADHD, anxiety/depression. In addition, you will be provided useful insights on every day practical skills which a traditional outfit will not offer you.
Our plan is to revolutionize our care delivery model using integrative approach which has been scientifically proved to work better in treating the individual mind, body and soul.
Our model of care beats the conventional method of treatment you will find in a traditional clinic.

What are the states that the company provide services?
Answer: District of Columba. Maryland and Virginia, (DC, Maryland (MD), and we are currently working on expanding to other states.
What methods of payment are accepted?

All payments are made before service is rendered. Your credit card will be charged according to the visit type before the visit is done

Initial Psychiatric evaluation: $240
Mental health Medication management: $99
Initial medical patient intake: $140
Follow up medical patient: $89
Other Possible charges
You will be charged for services such as extended phone calls, consultation on your behalf, and other services rendered on your behalf EXAMPLES: Other professional services include report writing, telephone conversations lasting longer than 15 minutes, attendance at meetings with other professionals you have authorized, preparation of treatment summaries, and the time spent performing any other service you may request of the company. All these services are charged at a prorated rate of $100/hour in 15-minute increments.
If you become involved in legal proceedings that require my participation, you will be expected to pay for any professional time I spend on your legal matter, even if the request comes from another party.
